Dream Labs
San Francisco, United StatesDream Labs is a San Francisco startup building robot "brains" in the form of World Action Models (WAM). The team is behind DreamZero, the February 2026 paper that introduced the concept of World Action Models; six months later the company released Dream-1 — its first World Action Model available through a public API. Dream-1 is a general robot-control model designed to work across different robots, tasks and environments, including zero-shot on new tasks and scenes. It runs on the company's bimanual YAM arms and on popular, low-cost arms already on the market, with only a few hundred demonstrations needed to adapt it to a given robot. Its interface goes "from prompt to robot action": the user sends camera images and the robot's current state, and the model returns actions. The company aims to make robotics far more accessible and present in everyday life.
