Ricursive Intelligence is a US frontier AI lab founded in 2025 by Anna Goldie (CEO) and Azalia Mirhoseini (CTO), co-leads of the AlphaChip project published in Nature in 2021. The company develops AI systems to automate semiconductor chip design and frames its mission as closing the loop between "AI for chips and chips for AI". The team draws from Google DeepMind, Anthropic, NVIDIA, Cadence, Apple, xAI and Stanford, MIT, and Harvard, with co-authorship of award-winning works AlphaChip (Nature 2021), RL-CCD (DAC Best Paper 2023), Insta (DAC Best Paper 2025), and C3PO (ASP-DAC Best Paper 2026). Within four months of launch Ricursive raised $335M – $35M in seed (Sequoia Capital, Striker VP) and $300M in Series A announced on 26 January 2026 (Lightspeed, DST Global, Felicis, 49 Palms, Radical AI, Sequoia, NVentures/Nvidia) – at a post-money valuation of approximately $4B.
