Intel Corporation is an American semiconductor company founded on July 18, 1968, in Mountain View, California, by Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce (former Fairchild Semiconductor employees) and investor Arthur Rock. Its headquarters are located in Santa Clara, California (2200 Mission College Blvd.). The company is listed on NASDAQ under the ticker symbol INTC and is a constituent of the S&P 500 index. Intel designs, manufactures, and sells processors (CPUs), integrated circuits, AI accelerators, graphics processors (GPUs), and foundry services. Its main product lines include: Intel Core Ultra client processors (with an integrated NPU for local AI processing, the so-called AI PC), Intel Xeon 6 server processors for data centers, Intel Gaudi 3 AI accelerators, and Intel Arc discrete graphics processors. In 2023, Intel spun off Intel Foundry as a separate business segment offering chip manufacturing services to external customers. In fiscal year 2024, Intel reported net revenue of $53.1 billion (a 2% year-over-year decline) and employed 108,900 workers (as of December 2024). Intel operates manufacturing facilities and research centers in the United States (Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico, Ohio), Ireland, Israel, Malaysia, Poland, and other countries.
